Note that the best way to protect your gods from gorgon towers is to have a bunch of high-health units around to absorb all the damage in phase 1. You'll notice that the closest units will die and if you have still have units remaining (that were in range and were not killed), your gods, NO MATTER HOW CLOSE, will not take any damage at all, because phase 2 will not run.

Phase 1: Kills anything that is considered a 'unit', starting at closest unit and going until farthest unit, until it runs out of power. It IS NOT 'evenly distributed damage' or percent, or anything. It just kills the closest unit, then the next closest unit, and keeps going, until there are no more units to be killed or it runs out of power. Note that gods (and towers) are not units, but heroes ARE units. If this phase touches the unit, it will die (after it turns to stone). There is no partial damage taken here. An important point is that if it a gorgon tower has 1000 strength, and there are two units with 999 health, it will kill them both. The first will reduce the gorgon tower power to 1, and with the 1 remaining power, it touches the next thing and kills it also. This is why a gorgon tower can kill a super buffed hero.

Phase 2: If and only if there is still power/strength/damage left to distribute, it will distribute that damage equally among gods. So if a tower still has 9999 strength remaining, and there are 3 gods within the gorgon tower range, each god will receive 3333 damage.

I think that the very reasonable complaint from Crazy Uncle Oceanus is really that heroes should not be in Phase 1, but instead in Phase 2. This won't happen in 4.9, because the very final touches are happening now, but it could certainly change in 5.0.

        Ok.

Now if you teke heros in phase 2 they should not have healing. Or heal all gods after Herms jump for balance with their ultimates reactivated for balance.

Already they are over powered for slowpush and with this they will become unkillable.

As always Mono people won't have any issues with this.

At least we can damage them in 1st wave and kill in second.

        Hero stats should remain same.

Ah yes, thank you for clearing that up Leroy! You more or less read my mind, as my solution would have been to set the Heroes to however you guys had the Gods configured, albeit with poorer technical terminology! That solves the mystery of whether or not its percent based because, as Seaweed pointed out it, its kills all heroes without healing, which had led me to wonder if there was an exactly 100% scripted-kill effect going on.

These juicy little knowledge tidbits are always much appreciated, keep lookin' good brother

Dude that's a whole lot of balance changes in return for the fixing of a single, simple bug. Ask yourself, are you really relying on Charmed Gorgons that heavily to take out Heroes?

If you take away healing from heroes, then they will be much too easy to kill, and apollos temple will also lose a big chunk of its influence to pull pressure away from other temples. Plus, thats way too much power for hermes, whos currently bordering on being overpowered (im still undecided if hes OP or not). I'd rather not watch literally ALL of my defence trophies plummet in return for some extra offensive cups.

You'd win attacks alot more, but also lose nearly every defence. So in the end, I think you would actually net less total trophies overall.

Though as a compromise, I think that it should refresh cooldowns on non-ultimate skills, its always put me off that they still have cooldowns when I drop them from Olympus again. And i wouldnt mind a little extra healing, but it shouldnt be an instant full heal. It would be cool if they could regenerate very slowly, as i do think that returning to Olympus should definitely have some kind of recuperating effect. Or perhaps just a straight up 10-15% heal for all gods, we do have to be careful though, we dont want to overshadow Apollo's ultimate ability.

Trust me. I use gorgons to kill heros. Killing 3 heros is not joke at my level and gorgons are major tool in this case.

I honestly don't care about defense trophy. Winning attacks is where all the fun in the game is at.

Hum this doesn't explain how a charmed gorgon with 15 000 power kills a minotaur with 900 000 hp in one shot

Edit : yes it does sorry. Ok
