  • Mission Impossible: Diary of a Mad Man

    Week 2:
    My dearest love,
We dipped too low..level 80’s players who are active is nearly non existent. Nearly all battles were against dead accounts. We targeted the wrong range.
Moved up to 90’s and low 100’s. Boring...too easy...yet, we have to stay the course. We are finding active accounts though so that’s good. We also play with random lineups to spice things up and give gold.
We hit em on hard mode every time. A few try and revenge, we respect those players and take names. Try and not hit them again or at least leave as much gold as possible for them.
It is refreshing to see lower players with different base set ups. Everything becomes a copy of a copy at the senior range. Copy cats are proud to copy. They seem to think this is the right way to play. I find them to be lazy. Then again, they are the product of a flawed system. Can’t blame them entirely.
Brass says they don’t want to change anything and punish the players that are less skilled yet they won’t reward in any way those who put real effort in.
We purchased gems just for this mission. Brass was happy about that. We find ourselves covering ground too quickly, we have to pull back. Make sure we keep within range no matter how tempting it is to climb back up.
Revenge is fun as we take 30 cups a hit. Taking 30 hurts, we are selective who we choose to take from.
Brass says activity is up...of course would...brass talks a lot.
We have to give them the benefit of the doubt. We may have to change course and dip to the 30’s, 40’s & 50 ranges.
Wreck the rookies. Kill the little ones trying to grow leaving little gold behind. We must find a way to enrage the masses in hopes of change.
It may just be that newer players will voice their frustration of being hit and standing no chance. Maybe brass will listen since they pretend to go deaf when senior players speak up.
I miss home, yet, we must not forget why we are here. We know this will end in failure with no change but we march on. I will write again next week. We have another 10 weeks left to go. We must cause as much damage as possible in that time. See you soon darling. Keep it tight.
    Ever Yours,
    Zero

    Week 3
    My dearest love,
I’m sorry this letter may have reached you late. It has been a busy week for us. New developments have now made it harder to recognize which bases truly merit their defense ranking. Kane the Kitten hands out wins causing confusion..seems these days trophies do not mean anything and one cannot go by their ranking as it may be manufactured instead of earned..speaking of our little kitten, they have nerfed their base down to nothing lol so we make sure to revenge just to give them a bunch of cups...you know me darling, always going against the grain.
As for our mission, 9 weeks to go. Raising hell on the little ones. I find myself struggling to kill a base when I see their defenders show up..a side of me wants to surrender and give them cups being that we are so much stronger yet we must continue to remind ourselves why we are here and kill them even when they come out in force to support. None have spoken up yet. We stay the course.
Bloody Knife has woken from his slumber and has begun battling again, during his battles it was refreshing to see there are groups out there that are active and almost full. They just don’t have the points to make it to the rankings.
Brass may have been right after all, there are active clans out there...just hard to notice them since they don’t get any exposure. Weird when we attack we get dead accounts but Bloody goes and he seems to pull the active accounts.
Looking forward to coming home. Until then onto wrecking the rookies!
    Forever Yours,
    Zero

Seems like you are having fun. And you are right, trophies mean absolutely nothing in the end. Hope you find your way back to normality soon, even Fritz came over to the dark side and revenged on me this morning. He even managed to beat me without taking damage so I got zero gold.

I wouldn't call revenging a nerfed base coming over to the dark side. I'd call it picking up an easy trophy for funzies (and one more step toward several achievements that I don't care much about, but why not) :-D I was surprised that, with a nerfed base, you bothered defending it...lol.

I was equally surprised you needed assistance attacking my nerfed base.

The fact that I beat it with one god shows that assistance clearly wasn't needed. Alliance mates just like to help me, even when I call a solo rev. I revenged you again today and made sure I came alone. I believe the result was identical.

Zero likes giving me cups when he’s about to easily win my base… thank you so much ♥️
