Hi. I'm with Red Dragon Society 2.0. Been playing Gods for several years (5?). Been a Clash of Clans leader for about 8 years. So LOTS of experience with running wars. Thanks for your hard work building this new AW feature! It is interesting and will be fun. And thanks for letting us join in this beta testing.
I have lots of thoughts so I'll give you a bit of a brain dump.
The list of completed battles should also list stars earned in that battle. That's what I'm most interested in seeing in that list.
The previous war summaries should be (or have the option to be) sorted by stars earned. Then you can easily see the top star earners. Again, that's what I'm most interested in.
The current war view showing all bases should be sorted by star value / base strength. Will be a lot easier to find targets in your range that way. Seems a bit random currently.
When we lost a war is said we moved from Ambrosia 5 to Ambrosia 3. I'm almost positive we actually moved from 4 to 3.
Initial league seeding should be done by current alliance combined base strength. Will be more fun to have competitive matchups instead of super lopsided ones.
The league member lists all show 1000 trophies with no ranking. Assuming that's because the feature hasn't been activated? You should turn that on so we can help you get that debugged too.
The live AW attack number that appears on the AW button lags. An AW battle will be done, but that button still shows the battle being active.
During testing, there should be 1 war per day. You will get way more testing completed. And members can participate a lot more.
In the final implementation, 2 day wars seem like a bust. The 2nd day sees almost no action. But the bigger problem is the psychology of having almost no activity with a new feature. When an AW is active people should know there will be regular activity. That's only going to happen with a 1 day war.
1 day is plenty for a war. People in every timezone can participate that way.
Having a regular AW schedule every week is a great idea. Can build anticipation.
Having too many wars per week will remove anticipation. Participation will drop off quickly if they are too frequent. Except for the most hardcore players of course.
I would propose 2x 1 day wars per week. Saturday & Sunday, or Friday & Sunday. Most people have more time for games when they aren't working or in school. And would be fun to look forward to the weekend AW's!
Some AW's will be mismatches and not as much fun. That's why I think there needs to be a minimum of 2 wars per week.
Thanks again for all your hard work!
