Immediate thoughts after update:
- centaurs are still overpowered (surprise, surprise) although they are weaker now (I guess net nerf as promised...). Compared to spartans they are still superior 100%.
- they are far easier to destroy, yes, but the fact all academies start with 4 now makes the initial push so punishing to gods (like they go down to 50% health when regroup is activated) and adds so much more to the health pool that slow push needs to destroy... not to mention the attack boost makes it so that they melt Athena even faster if you don't immediately destroy them. And, a single hit on any other god means the god loses half their health instantly.
- So... I think we can drop it from 4 to 2 then they will be more balanced (but of course still better than spartans, but that's already another balancing story)
- I'm now feeling like hades and hermes temples are more important to take out than aphrodite. We certainly don't want the centaurs to get to us too fast (hermes) and deal millions of dmg at once or reanimate near us (hades) and send the squishy gods to oblivion - Heroes feel the same for OW. Might have more effects for UW because perseus' high speed and not getting distracted ability are a menace.

I like the fact that patron god is now highlited in the battlelog, for those of us who watch replays of defense to better tweak our base it's a nice subtle addition that makes that data collection easier.
I like the centaur archers, although I would have just made all centaurs archers, with a significant damage decrease, along with the health nerf, the way archers are weaker than hoplites. That way you'd have Spartans as the high health high attack melee unit, and centaurs as ultra fast ranged unit with average health. But I realize things don't get removed from this game, just tweaked, so just have to live with centaurs as they are now. Will be interesting to see what effect it has, my most recent battle they did seem much more manageable, but at the levels I'm attacking I'm only facing 4 centaur academies max at a time, I suspect by the time I'm facing 8+ like most higher level bases have will be around the time I join the ranks of those-who-don't-attack-anymore.
Perseus nerf seems too small but is a step in the right direction, while I didn't think Paris needed another nerf personally, he's never a problem to deal with, and I think his high usage rate has more to do with the fact a lot of older accounts bought him early on when he was overpowered, he's ridiculously easy to deal with, at least for the burst/slowpush style I use, perhaps he's a beast against monogod?
