    Wow you increased difficulty by 20000% in one week on this challenge! Was that made on purpose?

      It seems to me that the difficulty level of the challenges has increased lately... too much I guess

        There doesn't seem to be much effort put into challenges these days, every other week seems like a build defense t protect the base. 1-2 years ago challenges were more creative like fully built out bases with low health and they would increase in health and strength as the levels got higher. I would even think a 6 week rotation roster of different challenges would shake things up immensely. week 1 challenge = Different patron per round. Week 2 challenge = Low health to high health buildings. Week 3 challenge = No patron just old school slugging it out Week 4 challenge = the usual breakout challenge week 5 challenge = build defenses and include using gods with hoplites or skeletons. Week 6 challenge = Whatever the heck you want but allow 1 alliance member to join you and assist with lightning bolts, hoplites, skeletons or fish etc.
        Saying all this, obviously there are anomalies like challenges that fall on holidays and so forth, but using some kind of foundation to build off of would I think really help boost the morale for players, especially those that just play the weekly challenges which are many now I hear.

          I'd play weekly challenge if I thought I had a chance of earning gems, but since I don't the stone and gold aren't worth it. I haven't attacked in nearly 2 months now though other than the odd revenge where the effort requirement is tiny due to a weak base. For the rest I just do daily challenges and use the gems I earn through the day to multiply my stone/gold, still managing to move up a couple levels per month with this system, and without the stress of attacking these centaur/hero insane bases.

            Kinda quit attacking here also. The weekly challenge where I can most of my resource and XP so do hope they make it more fun and exciting instead of repeating the same challenge concepts.

              I don't play anywhere near as much as I used to, now I just do the Weekly challenges on my accounts and the daily challenges on my main one. Sometimes I will get my licks in with one or two in the morning and then one or two in the evening, but that's about it. Before I was getting about 80-100 attacks in on all my accounts daily. A lot has changed, more and more greyed out accounts with untouched bases makes for an easy victory and they also removed the dead accounts from the ranking so who knows how many would actually be up there.

              In other news, can someone please tell me why, when I log on to GoO it tells me I have XX number of attacks against me, when I check, there's not even remotely that amount in my history and when collecting resources, it appears as only one or two?

                I've noticed that as well since the last update. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me as I generally only get attacked overnight when I'm asleep, and look first thing in the morning with blurry eyes.

                  If I attack, too much stress by horses and heroes.
                  If I defend, too much stress by chain lightning.
                  If I play challenge, one hit kill by something and I don’t even know what kills me lol … There are too many “too much”.

                    Something I want to understand regarding some weekly challenges, maybe devs can fill me in as I'm lost at sea on this one. leroy

                    During this weekly challenge, I noticed that on one of the rounds (round 10 I think) Hades Reanimate was taken out, I'm sure that was done on purpose, but in this challenge, all gods must be victorious, why then does Persephone have her Rebirth if it cannot be used? I know this isn't the first time it has happened.

                      Agreed with Jauni on most of the above. Furthermore, I cannot understand that.. given that the challenges have become very difficult lately.. yet some people (sometimes even low levels ) are managing the round 20... causing the devs to upload round 21.

                      I am one of those who looked forward to the challenge week after week.. it has now become a constant chore and not entertaining anymore. What is happening?

                        I requested if the devs get new challenge ideas from players and they said they’ll look into it.
                        I just checked when I posted it… ok it was in June 2020.

                          Thank the guy posting how to beat the challenges on YouTube, meaning it's become easy for everyone to reach high rounds

                            Good lord stop trying to get them to nerf chain lightning. They already did it once already, that was enough. Zeus is also an instrumental counter against centaurs, so please stop f#8cking around.

                            If Zeus takes another nerf, in the current defence architecture of the game, i would say he would be useless compared to other patrons.

                              zeus patron is the patron that beats my base most often, for what that's worth, and it always feels like a very cheap victory as well, where the attacker puts in very little effort and still wins. i think chain lighting just needs a slight rework, don't need to weaken it, but make it more skill based.
