Well actually it's every 4 months since a long time.
Why don't u make small upgrades every week (little balances changes to show u care about community complains hehe ?) and 1 big same periodicity a little bit like a lot of big games ? leroy is devs team that small?
Even a small release actually takes a good amount of work getting it all built, deployed, submitted, and approved! Unfortunately we have nowhere near the manpower of someplace like Supercell.
