Are you able to choose heroes or is Hercules the default?

I've seen tutorials in youtube where they were able to choose their heroes. Also, I've seen Leroy state in 3.10 that you're able to choose between Hercules, Odysseus and Adonis. Was this changed? Can I sell my Hero Academy then repurchase one to get my desired hero?

Your default hero is Hercules. To get a new hero you should buy one. (press the hero academy, select). After you buy one you can use him/her without having to sell and rebuy the hero academy.

by buy, do you mean with ambrosia? All of them require ambrosia for me.
