  • The table is set. Who's the best patron now? Zeus not working appropriately?

So I've seen a lot of ppl want to keep using Art as patron but I think we are doomed with her. Aquilles and Theseus are a powerful duo I can't keep using her. I've also seen a lot using Hera and I think that's the option for now.
I'm using Aph as patron and she is really powerful, my option would be Apollo. He is just efficient against spartans and heroes.
I tried Zeus but he wasn't killing 80 units with chain lighting. Is there a bug there? I tried him twice and saw no real difference.

Lastly, I want to thank the developers for doing an amazing job with this update.

The only problem ( which is minor) is the keyboard, damns thing is uncomfortable and can't see the chat while writing. Also there's an underscore right when I start typing. Is that supposed to be there?

Still think Artemis is still the best patron. The most powerful trio against slow push has to be Paris Achilles/or other tanky hero, and Atalanta. I tried all strat on a base I used to be able to easily beat but it’s not possible once they used that trio.

If the player use tanky heros then I would just try to get rid of the swarm of troops and hit and run around the base away from hero. And if they got all ranged hero then I can just kill them fast before they do serious damage.

Hermes is kind of interesting, just played with him some in daily challenges. The haste makes the gods move super quick now, I think something like 119% maxed. pair it with slow time and your gods are really off to the races!

It makes them more survivable as well, 47.6% evasion maxed. though it isn't super noticeable to the eye. Maybe add some kind of animation to evasion, so you know it's even happening? though this could easily get visually overwhelming I'd imagine.

I agree they really are fast but the prob is with a far ranged Paris. I tried him once, Im going to try it again. My haste is at 70 and I do see differences specially against Ballista and Odysseus. Those two are the only cases I've seen evasion worked. Could we have more insight ( how evasion works and against what) into that please devs leroy and also I repeat Zeus is not killing the 80 units once maxed in chain lightning.

Yea Hermes seem pretty good from what I have seen from others who tried him out. I just think zues dont have any ability that would make a huge difference in the battle when boosted by patron point.

Not that it will convince you, but that range on Lightning Storm is legit!

ps....Zeus already has pretty great health so those Patron points used on Zeus health could be used in other places where lower health gods might need the extra wealth towards health

I think the challenge with Zeus is that while the range is phenomenal (I think it can basically reach all the way around the map in some cases) it seemingly doesn't have enough power when compared to other patrons.

With patron strength and Zap maxed, I haven't seen it clear any houses or towers. If it can't even clear a house or tower, then perhaps eliminate any dmg to buildings and increase dmg output to troops?

Also, the method in which the zap ability clears troops doesn't help as much at the point of friction - when your gods clash with the horde of troops - as compared to other selections. (maybe a concept of an ideal patron Zap would prevent a large horde of troops from ever developing, or noticeably reducing its size making other abilities more capable of clearing?) If apollo temple is still up, it's almost a wasted ability altogether with regards to zapping buildings; any zap that hits a building/house/tower just re-heals like it never happened. Plus, when theseus is on the map the ability is almost completely wasted - not enough power to clear buildings or kill troops.

Zeus could still use some future tweaks, in my opinion, though this was a step in the right direction and isn't intended as criticism. I've always felt the "king of the gods" should pack a little more punch.

Yea even with the boosted lightning storm it just isnt as good compared to the others. I think he need a cooldown reduction in his skills in patron mode.

Don’t know what Zeus you all have but mine is destroying lv 135+ bases no problem.

Mine too, chain lightning just wipes down everything better than spread shot

Which lvl account are you referring to, out of curiosity? maybe it scales exponentially with higher levels?

My Zeus' strength is 65, zap ability 60, patron 100 on str and zap.

So mine is by no means the highest level, bit sparred a few times and it doesn't seem much different than pre-update.

yea, im sure being lvl 160+ gives a lot of flexibility.

I haven't attacked someone 20-30 levels below me in a while (though with this defense update, shouldn't be too long lol) but I'm sure whoever I chose as patron would look amazing in that scenario as well.

Its the kitten account. Saw him lost to one of my alliance member.

I'm aware the account, just saying that when your that high level, you have a lot more flexibility in attacking bc the gods are way more upgraded. So saying Zeus is doing well vs a lvl 135 or whatever sounds impressive to some reading, but thats actually 30 levels below.

i can spar anyone in my alliance 30 levels below me and make any patron look good, not sure that's the best metric though.
