Don't know if this has been discussed before and I don't feel like searching through forum history but can someone tell me why heroes seem super resilient to Poseidon Stream but susceptible to Apollo arrows? Even Arty takes em out faster than the much stronger melee gods. Glitch in coding or intentional?

i'm guessing maybe because heroes can keep getting away from poseidon attack and that apollo's attacks are always on point whenever he attacks heroes :P but not hundred percent sure

They probably do about the same but Poseidon does less damage each hit making it look less while Apollo does heavy damage per hit and you can easily see the health bar go down which make it seems it does way more damage but I’m not too sure

This is something I think I have noticed as well, or at least that is the way it feels.

It may be that, with an Apollo temple and a hero with high health, the Poseidon stream is just not doing enough damage on its own and is a continual damage dealer, so it is less noticeable on the health bar as the damage is absorbed by healing. With the individual hits of Apollo and Artemis, we simply see the effect more easily when they attack because it is one punch. If you look closely, it may be that you see Apollo's hits more, but they also heal back just as much.

Thanks folks! Certainly something to look at. Was tangentially comparing damage outputs though not in depth. Prolly oughta do the math x_x ... For now, it seems as though Apollo is my number 1 hero assassin at least. :P

That's not the reason at all... in fact the hero has a lot of health, so that means the gods, like Poseidon for example kill him very slow... but let's look at the first power of apollo :
He has stronger damage for a long period of time but also, the most important part, he has a heavy splash damage who doesn't affect buildings but only units... so once there is no more unit around, all the damages of this "splash damages" are going to the hero, that means 20k+ per shot damage at a good level, for a lot less damage from Poseidon, so it explains why y'all find that apollo deal much more damage than Poseidon to the hero.

wow that's actually really smart, that makes a lot of sense now :P also with other situations with apollo's flame arrows that i noticed before
