Based on "I described how to do that" I think I have a fairly good idea of your post and reason for ban -> there was a recent feature request post about deleting chat coincidently, I wonder if there is any relation here?

If so, you honestly deserve a permanent ban. No one just gets upset one day and posts inappropriate content like that, and you've probably done it several other times just didn't get reported.

Lol if you're the kind of player to type inappropriate content into a game "because you were mad" ...then I'd question how honest you would truly be on an internet forum to begin with.

You didn't exactly just type 1 bad word. I'm in the alliance you chose to join/spam and know exactly what it said. I dont feel bad at all if your permanently banned from joining other alliances. Actions have consequences.

At the end of the day, this forum isn't the place for this conversation. Take it up with support if you feel you have a case. But thinking you'd get forum sympathy after posting all of that is just silly.

Let me float an idea we've been considering. You and anyone interested can let me know what you think.

We've been thinking about making a player wait 24 hours to rejoin once they are kicked. Hopefully that in itself would cut way down on this kind of behavior, and we could see whether more complex banning was necessary.

Now, we would only do this once we add a confirmation to the Kick option in alliances. Currently there is no confirmation, so there are a lot of accidental kicks, so the 24-hour ban would be too harsh until we fix that. IMO.

              What do you all think?
What about just popping up a message when you kick someone that says, "Are you sure you want to kick this player? The player will not be able rejoin for 24 hours (1 day)?" Also, what is flaming and trolling?

You should’ve known better. Honestly you could just said that you’re mad and need a break instead of doing that. Normally I would get mad if I keep losing attacks and I would just go offline for a bit.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but as the issue raised is still an issue I feel it's necessary.
I would very much like to see the option of permanently banning a player given to alliance leaders. I currently have someone who has joined my alliance multiple times just to attempt to contact one of my members who blocked them on social media. They have no interest in helping the alliance, never assist, and when I kick them they simply sit out for 24 hours and come back again.
My options currently are change my alliance requirements, which I don't want to do as our whole ethos is to welcome new players and offer help and assistance, or close the alliance for extended periods. I've tried both options and within days of reverting to no requirements or reopening, the problem player rejoins.
The problems people have highlighted here of trolling, bad behaviour, and profanity in chat could be solved so easily by just giving leaders the option to permanently remove someone from their alliance.
Also, I've asked for this previously, but I think leaders / officers should be given the option to delete posts in chat. I've kicked someone for posting a graphic description of how to have sex, but had to wait until a moderator answered my request and cleared my chat. It was dealt with fairly promptly but still took several hours, during which time it could be read by everyone. I have members in my alliance as young as 10 and I don't think waiting for someone else to remove posts is the way to deal with this issue. Letting us delete inappropriate content immediately would go a long way towards keeping alliances safe for all members.
                    Thanks
                    Dave

quick way to deal with this instead of waiting for devs clear the chat is sendins 100 dots in the chat.. new people who join the game wont see previous conversations. its not a permanet fix but at least people wont see the chat next time it happens.

Yeah, that works, but it's not an ideal fix if the chats immediately prior were in answer to a question posed by a new player where lots of people weighed in with good suggestions.
What you suggest obviously works, but it's far from a viable solution really.

Yea doing that every 24 hr isnt the ideal solution

If enough complaints are made, I think banning from the entire game is in order. Of course we’d give fair warnings and a few second chances…but really, certain behavior should be punished. Abuse is a nuisance and quite frustrating. When it comes from children, many times there is no other option.

Jimmy. We all see the “so and so joined/left your alliance thing”; so they troll, it’s well, quite easy to then make a “hit list”.

Honestly, sometimes I think a "bounty" feature would be a good thing. One could limit the scope to be placeable by officers to limit abuse of the feature. But if Devs are unable or unwilling to do something permanent, why not crowd source instead?
