I keep losing my defenses so any advice on a good defense will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help!

There is a camera on top right of the box that you type your reply. You can click on that icon to add a photo of your screen shot.

You are expected to lose on defense If you improve your base and win some the math catches up to you and once again you lose. I lose between 80 to 90 percent of my defense. Then I win a few in a row and the cycle continues so a few questions are most of your losses easy by attacker. Are you losing 4-6 trophies or are most of your losses minus 20 plus. A better way to look at it is are your defensive trophies on level with others at your level need to know what level your on and what your defense trophies are. What I would suggest is to find someone your level that has high defense and check their base out. Don’t get disappointed about about your defense after all you to want to win most of your attacks Bandit

Phew finally learned how to do it! Here is my base

I suggest investing in a monument. Many like Athena early on since it's a quick way to get troops. I prefer Ares. Make the monument the centerpiece with red houses on it. Hera would also be a good choice with red houses, but the starting location of that monument may be a bit out of the way. You'd be surprised how strong a monument can make a base early on.
