Awesome guide, Celestus! I love the details (even down to the 67% HP ) and the color coding makes it really clear!
Great job, I'd love to see more like this!
hmm but what if they have a high lvl hera temple and houses? that could kill ares and some of the other close-range gods (but not athena or hera, unless athena's shield has already run out. hera has a short range, but enough to make sure she doesn't get blown up by her own temple. also, hermes and hera monuments have to be destroyed, as they often overwhelm your gods. their spawn rate is even higher than that of a normal barrack. a normal barrack takes 1.5 seconds to spawn one troop, whilst those two take 4 seconds to spawn 4 troops, basically spawning one per second. and, sometimes, because apollo and artemis lag, they get quickly surrounded by troops and killed, as ranged deities have less health (artemis and aphrodite having the lowest).

This thread and all posts are from July 2016. Hera was introduced in December 2016. So, at the time, there were no Hera Houses to worry about. No Hermes either (so no Hera or Hermes monuments). Not to mention no Poseidon, cyclops, medusa, spartans, heroes, environments, patrons, etc... either. Not sure it's even the same game at this point...lol ;-)

Whoa reading all those things together put a lot in perspective lol..... Dark times hehe.... But yes, attacking was a lot simpler back then ig.
Nowadays, 80% of the bases have Hera temple, but I rarely see Hermes at my levels, so speed boosts aren't a thing to worry about for me until I reach level 90. And getting from temple to temple is easy, because I have Hermes patron with lvl 40 Haste buffed with 100 patron points, and a level 40 Slow Time too.
I just keep losing track of when updates occur and what was updated.
now, I just think that poseidon is a bit overpowered, since, well, kraken does humongous damage, and apparently at level 35 and onwards, almost everyone has poseidon. And, besides, ranged deities are not much use, as they only attack one target (except artemis or apollo, when spread shot or flaming arrows are activated), have bad damage, and have very bad health. Like I've said, since they lag, they normally get targeted by enemy troops for some weird reason. They are generally only good for making a small hole (like, artemis's long shot could destroy a building, most likely a tower, located at the perfect position to attack). Hermes's regroup could also be used to drop melee gods at an other place that is also ideal to destroy. Hades is most likely useless, but cerberus can be helpful when you are surrounded. and, rot can damage some buildings. Aphrodite just keeps the number of troops down, but normally the charmed troops get charmed by an aphrodite monument, which is annoying. Aphrodite is useful only in defense, as at high levels, spartans and other troops are normally relied upon, and aphrodite boost them. Well, zeus does also boost troops, and ares boosts by increasing damage, and artemis by increasing range of archers. Ranged gods, however, have very powerful temples.
great news. also, updates are hard to keep track of, as there has been so many.
For me, I also have a strategy.
You'll need hera, poseidon, artemis, zeus, athena, and hades. all abilities should be unlocked (except slow time) and upgraded to around level 40, as well as damage and health. Patron points required: over 100. works for lvl 60-75. drop hera near an important building (apollo temple, hades temple, spartan academies, or very well defended patch). first, drop hera, activate absorbing strike, and use wrath to blow up weaker buildings. next, drop poseidon and athena. activate aegis, water blast, inspiration, and kraken. then, drop artemis and hades. activate reanimate, spread shot, cerberus, and hawk storm. start clearing the patch, making sure that asa your gods advance, there are no buildings behind it or next to it (as that would be devastating). another strategy for lvl 30-45 requires zeus, athena, hermes, and apollo. upgrade aegis, health, damage, (but not for zeus. try to upgrade zeus as less as possible), unlock regroup, upgrade a lot healing light, upgrade a lot for hermes's and apollo's other two abilities. Drop athena and zeus as shields. try to get as near to the temple as possible. activate chain lightning, aegis, speed boost and flaming arrows. destroy the temples there, and use regroup to drop them by the other temples. as soon as athena, hermes, or apollo is close to dying, activate healing light.
